Treasury Services

Treasury Services manages the cash, short and intermediate term investments, and the debt obligations of the University. The primary responsibilities of this group are to:

  • receive and disburse funds efficiently
  • maintain the accuracy and integrity of the university’s various cash accounts
  • provide financial advisory and capital planning support university wide
  • oversee the university’s debt portfolio including management of private business use, preparation of financial covenant calculations and other compliance schedules
  • execute short-term borrowing for operating needs
  • manage the university’s banking, credit, and debt relationships
  • balance the accounts for TAP Grants

Services

  • electronic transfers of cash
  • investment of excess cash balances as well as funds designated for the NYC Master Plan
  • manage university’s private business use
  • manage credit card terminals
  • prepare journal entries to record all cash flows within the universities cash accounts
  • reconcile cash accounts
  • disbursement of petty cash funds to Student Accounts offices
  • manage student refunds
