ǿմý's Elisabeth Haub School of Law today announced the establishment of the Beth S. Nelson Memorial Scholarship sponsored by Dorf & Nelson LLP, a private practice law firm.
Sabrina A. Griffin ’92, of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Kelly Herbert ’06, of Brooklyn, New York, have been appointed to serve as the chair and vice chair of the ǿմý Alumni Association Leadership Council as of July 2021.
Professor Marie-Amélie George of Wake Forest Law School has been selected as the winner of the 2020–2021 Haub Law Emerging Scholar Award in Gender & Law for her paper Exploring Identity, 54 Fam. L. Q. (forthcoming 2021).
The Food and Beverage Law Clinic at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ǿմý is pleased to announce a new collaboration with GrowNYC, operators of the New York City Greenmarkets, the largest network of urban farmers markets in the country. Thomas “Todd” Gibbons, chief executive officer at BNY Mellon based in New York City, was recently elected to ǿմý’s Board of Trustees. Gibbons earned an MBA from the Lubin School of Business at ǿմý in 1986.
ǿմý has appointed Marcus C. Tye, PhD, as dean of its College of Health Professions. The appointment is effective July 1, 2021. Tye, a licensed clinical psychologist, comes to ǿմýhaving served as dean of the School of Health Sciences and interim dean of the School of Education at the College of Staten Island, City University of New York (CUNY).
