On September 5, 2025, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ hosted the twelfth annual Future Environmental Law Professors Workshop. The workshop is designed for law students and graduates considering or planning careers as legal academics in environmental law broadly defined. The workshop included an informational panel, mock interviews, and practice job talks. In addition, this year Professor Rachel Rothschild, recipient of the 2025 Haub Environmental Law Distinguished Junior Scholar Award, delivered the keynote lunch address.

ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ recently hosted Convocation on two of its campuses: New York City and Pleasantville in Westchester County. The annual tradition formally welcomes first-year and transfer students to the University community and marks the beginning of the 2025–2026 academic year.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ is proud to announce that Margot Pollans, Professor of Law at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½Haub Law and Noa Ben-Asher, Professor of Law at St. John’s University School of Law have been selected as 2025 Dukeminier Awards Winners for their article, , 2024 Utah L. Rev. 763 (2024).

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ is pleased to announce that Professor Alexander K.A. Greenawalt has been appointed as James D. Hopkins Professor of Law for the 2025–2027 term.

ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½â€™s Sands College of Performing Arts today announced the appointment of three distinguished artists to its faculty for Fall 2025: as clinical assistant professor of musical theater, as clinical assistant professor of commercial dance, and as clinical assistant professor and program head of stage management.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ is pleased to announce that Sam Bookman will be a Visiting Assistant Professor with the Law School for the Fall 2025 semester and he was also selected to serve as a Haub Visiting Scholar. While at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½Haub Law, he will teach Climate Change Law and Constitutional Law.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ is pleased to announce that Sara Gonzalez-Rothi will join its faculty as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Environmental Law. Prior to joining the Haub Law faculty in 2025, Professor Gonzalez-Rothi served in a variety of roles within the United States Senate and the Executive Office of the President. Most recently, she served as the Senior Director for Water at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. During her time at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½Haub Law, Professor Gonzalez-Rothi will be teaching Administrative Law and Water Law.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ is proud to announce that the 2025 Elisabeth Haub Award for Environmental Law and Diplomacy will be jointly awarded to Professor John H. Knox and Dr. David R. Boyd for their groundbreaking efforts as successive United Nations Special Rapporteurs on the human right to a healthy environment. The award will be presented during a ceremony at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ in New York City on October 23, 2025.

After an extensive nationwide search, ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ today announced the appointment of Ajay Khorana, Ph.D., as Dean of the Lubin School of Business and professor of finance, effective September 1, 2025.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ is excited to announce that Professor Rachel Rothschild has been selected to receive the 2025–2026 ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½Haub Environmental Law Distinguished Junior Scholar Award. The Haub Environmental Law Distinguished Junior Scholar Award is presented annually to an emerging junior environmental law professor who exhibits scholarly excellence and promise at an early stage in their career. The Haub Environmental Law Faculty solicits nominations from law professors throughout the country and selects a recipient from that pool of nominations. The award recipient is invited to present his/her recent scholarship to the Haub Law community.
